Focus

Ever feel out of focus? Ever look at something and can't quite focus on it? It's hard to change focus. It's harder to change the lens of the heart to focus on positive and good versus all the negative. Do you have ways you change focus and work to see the good? Please share your ideas.

Grace is always sufficient

When hard times arise, we must remember His grace is always sufficient.  He is always good, even we do not see nor feel Him.  Ever feel all alone and as if no one understands? We all do at one point or another, or several times in life.  The truth is we are not alone.  Why do we hide the painful parts of our hearts with fake smiles and hurting eyes?  Are we afraid?  The truth is His grace is always sufficient.  The truth is His love is felt in those we must learn to be vulnerable with, and allow to be vulnerable with us.  I am not speaking of pity parties or whining.  I am speaking of opening the well of healing by allowing the dirt to flow out while springs of love and grace flow in.  Much love, many blessings, and remember God loves and likes you. 

Even in the mud

So many times people find pleasure in the good times, but never learn to experience joy in the mud. A few nights ago, two of my kids played in this massive dirt pile in my driveway, we are building above ground gardens. Hauling the dirt is time consuming and causes sore muscles. My children, however, found joy in the dirt and mud. They found pleasure in the hard work. Why? They have child like faith. Maybe that is one of the meanings behind Christ's encouraging words. good morning

It is morning in the beautiful Ozark Mountains.  We have a gorgeous sunrise, but rain is on the horizon.  The thing is that the sun is still behind the rain and clouds.  In life, many experience moments of sunshine, as well as moments of rain.  Sometimes we even get those crazy days with sunshine and rain at the same time.  The point is that the sun never stops shining, whether we see it or not.  Much love and many blessings.  Remember God loves and likes you.
